7 Easy Steps

To Acquiring a Premium Domain

From your first inquiry to full ownership in your account — here's exactly what to expect when you purchase a domain name from UNETY SYSTEMS.

01

Submit an Inquiry

Have questions before you submit a bid? Click Ask a Question at the top of the page. We typically reply within 1–2 business days. Then, when you are ready to proceed, click Submit a Bid.

02

Submit a Bid

Things to know before you start:

  1. Minimum Offer: Offers must meet the domain's minimum threshold (generally $1,500, though high-value domains may be higher). This ensures we start negotiations at a fair price with serious buyers.
  2. Negotiation Window: We will accept, reject, or counter your offer within 2 business days. Each subsequent counter-offer also has a 2-day response window.
  3. Expiration & Restrictions: Offers automatically expire after 2 business days if left unanswered. If an offer is rejected, that specific thread is closed, but you can submit a new, adjusted offer. You may only have one active bid at a time per domain.
  4. When you are ready...
  5. 1Click Submit a Bid to bring up the page where you can submit a bid.
  6. 2Fill in the fields with the buyer's name and contact information, being careful not to skip any required fields and fix any errors.
  7. 3Then click Submit Your Bid to email your bid to us. You will get an email copy for your records, too.
03

Negotiate the Price

Once we receive an email with your bid, we will review it and reply back via email within 2 business days. We will accept, counter, or decline your offer. If we counter, you will have 2 business days to reply back via email. We go back and forth until we reach an agreed price or one party declines.

04

Create the Escrow Agreement and Fund Account

Once we both agree on a price, we will create the escrow agreement that spells out the terms of the domain name transfer. This protects the funds and the domain name ownership during the transfer. For this, we both need to have an account at Escrow.com. If you don't have one yet, you should create one now. Be sure to set it up with the new owner's contact information and set up a link to the bank account you want to use to pay for your new domain name.

Once you've done that, send us your escrow account info (name, email, or customer number) so we can associate your account with the escrow agreement. We'll then send the agreement to Escrow.com who will forward a copy to you. You will have 2 business days to review/accept these terms.

Once you approve the escrow terms, you need to send two payments to Escrow.com.

  1. 1Escrow Fee: First, deposit the non-refundable escrow service fee into the escrow account. This is due to Escrow.com. The amount varies depending on the total cost of your domain name (see the Escrow.com Fees table below). Once these funds are escrowed, we will mark the domain as PENDING and cease all paid marketing efforts. You will have 2 business days to do this.

  2. 2Domain Payment: Your next step is to deposit the purchase price of the domain name into your escrow account. Escrow.com will hold these funds safely until the domain is successfully transferred and all the terms of the escrow agreement are met.
05

Transfer the Domain

Once both payments clear, the transfer process will begin. There are three stages.

  1. Authorization: Once Escrow.com verifies your payments, we will unlock the domain and email you the authorization code (EPP key).
  2. Initiation: Give this code to your preferred domain registrar to launch the transfer on your end.
  3. Verification: When the transfer completes, you will notify Escrow.com. They will verify the new ownership via the public WHOIS database and release the funds to us.
06

Timeline

Most transfers take 5–7 calendar days, though many finish much faster. You can track the progress inside your new registrar account or by searching the free, public WHOIS database. We monitor the transfer alongside you and are available to help at every step.

07

Finalize Ownership

As soon as the WHOIS database updates with your details, the domain is 100% yours to route to your host, use in marketing, or launch. We will officially close the escrow agreement and permanently remove the domain from our sales catalog.
